Yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) are highly mobile pelagics found across tropical and subtropical oceans. Around Los Cabos, current forage and water matter more than an advertised local average.
Yellowfin may occur across a broad span of the year, with summer through fall the usual planning emphasis. Individual fish size and distance from port vary considerably.
Fall can offer trophy potential, but no month, bank, or charter can assign a credible percentage to the chance of a very large tuna.
