Format, entry and prizes
Two fishing days scored under federation rules. Billfish are catch-and-release with video validation; eligible non-billfish may be weighed and donated.

- MX$16,000 per federation-affiliated team of two to four anglers.

- This is a national-team qualifier; the first two teams qualify and the third is the reserve selection.

What should my team confirm before paying?
Ask what the base entry includes, which jackpots are optional, how many anglers may compete, and what paperwork the boat needs. Confirm minimum fish weights, release-video evidence, the fishing boundary and the last check-in time in the current rulebook. Arrange the boat separately unless the organizer explicitly includes it.
Weigh-ins and spectator access
The start is scheduled off the Arch; awards are scheduled for 8:00 p.m. September 20 at Marina Fundadores.
Scale hours are a viewing window, not a guarantee of fish arriving at a particular time. Keep boat access clear and ask the organizer whether ceremonies or dinner need a separate ticket.
Accommodation and travel
Where to stay
Choose your base after you confirm the departure dock and registration venue. A Cabo San Lucas marina event and a Puerto Los Cabos event do not share a home port. Ask your accommodation about early departures and its cancellation terms if weather affects the program.
A practical boat-and-travel checklist
- Get a written boat quote for every required fishing day, including fuel, bait and crew arrangements.
- Arrive in time for registration and any mandatory meeting, not just the first fishing start.
- Check fishing permits and local rules with your captain.
- Keep awards, flights and room nights aligned with the complete event window.
