Roosterfish
The king of Cabo's inshore. Spectacular dorsal fin, brute power. Peak: Feb-Jun. Avg: 10-40 lbs. Premier surf-casting and fly target.
Pargo (Red Snapper)
Prized table fish. Structure-oriented near reefs. Avg: 5-15 lbs. Firm white meat, mild flavor. Caught on cut bait and jigs.
Grouper
Multiple species including Broomtail and Leopard. Ambush predators near structure. Avg: 10-30 lbs. Excellent eating.
Sierra Mackerel
Fast-moving schools, explosive strikes. Light tackle fun. Avg: 2-5 lbs. Good eating when fresh. Year-round.
Jack Crevalle
Powerful fighters that punch above their weight. Schools in surf zone. Avg: 5-20 lbs. Hardest fight per pound.
