Major Offshore Banks
Los Cabos offers extraordinary variety, from nearshore reefs to deep-water seamounts. Most spots are within a 45-minute run from the marina. The unique underwater topography (where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez) creates nutrient-rich currents that attract incredible marine life.
Gordo Banks
5-10 mi SE. Depth: 60-300 ft. The most famous fishing ground in Cabo. Underwater plateau rising from 1,200 ft. Productive year-round for Yellowfin Tuna, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Dorado.
Golden Gate Bank
15 mi NW. Depth: 240-600 ft. Famous for striped marlin and wahoo. Larger and deeper than Gordo Banks; holds bigger fish. Best winter and spring.
1150 Bank
25 mi S. Depth: 1,150 ft. Deep-water structure for trophy blue marlin and cow tuna (150+ lbs). Best summer-fall. Full-day charter required.
San Jaime Bank
20 mi NW. Depth: 180-500 ft. Between Golden Gate and Finger Bank. Known for striped marlin in winter. Less crowded.
Iman Bank
12 mi E. Depth: 60-400 ft. Sea of Cortez side. Productive year-round for tuna, dorado, marlin. Great for half-day trips.
Finger Bank (Los Dedos)
35 mi NW. Depth: 300-800 ft. Farthest major ground. Known for 30+ release days. Full-day trip. Best winter-spring.
Cabrillo Seamount
45 mi E. Depth: 600-2,000 ft. Deep-water oceanic seamount for the largest marlin and tuna. Full-day+ trip. Best Jul-Nov.

Los Arcos
1-3 mi E. Famous rock arch. Holds snapper, grouper, amberjack. Protected from wind.
San Jose Estuary
20 mi E. Freshwater meets saltwater. Roosterfish, snook, pargo.

Weather
